JANUARY 07 - FASCIA VENTILATION MADE SIMPLE

Both roofer and building occupier benefit with a new design of over fascia ventilator, which combines ease of installation with a properly ventilated, dry roofspace.

Glidevale Ltd, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of roof ventilation solutions, has developed its new FV100 Over Fascia Ventilator to simplify fitting in both new build and refurbishment projects, and, once fitted, ensure air flows in but insects and rain are kept out.

The new 1m length is quick and easy to install whilst giving a longer, more convenient length; the system is supplied in 45m packs, again for roofer convenience. Integral dovetail joints at each end of the product mean each length is positively and continuously locked into place. The low profile design minimizes the need to adjust fascia height to accommodate the Ventilator and still maintains a flush fit between fascia and roof covering. The system is compatible with all roof tile clips and eaves comb fillers, and with Glidevale’s own Over Fascia Eaves Skirt.

Installed, the FV100 guarantees an actual ventilation opening of 10,000mm2/m and so can be used to achieve compliance with both Building Regulations and BS5250 code of practice for control of condensation in buildings. An innovative internal ‘pin’ arrangement provides an effective barrier against driving rain and large insects, helping ensure the roofspace remains dry and nest free.
